Packers beat 49ers 33-30 thanks to Mason Crosby FG in 4th

GREEN BAY — The Green Bay Packers were without receivers Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison against the San Francisco 49ers because of hamstring injuries.

It marked the second straight week that the Packers were without Cobb and Allison. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers had to rely again on rookies Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown behind top wideout Davante Adams.

Rookie cornerback Jaire Alexander also missed the game with a groin injury. Starting right tackle Bryan Bulaga was active, though, after being limited the past two days of practice because of a knee injury.

Green Bay's other inactives were quarterback Tim Boyle, cornerback Bashaud Breeland, and offensive linemen Alex Light and Jason Spriggs.

As play began on Monday night, the 49ers were the first to score -- leading 7-0 after a touchdown.

The Packers tied the game with a touchdown by Ty Montgomery.



A Mason Crosby 29-yard field goal brought the Packers' lead to 10-7, after James Crawford was able to recover a fumble at kickoff -- making it Packers' ball.





Davante Adams extended the Packers' lead with a touchdown in the first -- making it Packers 17, 49ers 7.



The 49ers quickly cut the lead to 17-14 with a touchdown with less than 30 seconds left in the first.



Mason Crosby added three points to the Packers' lead with a 39-yard field goal. It was Packers 20, 49ers 14 in the second.



The 49ers quickly took back the lead with a touchdown with 6:05 left in the half.

San Francisco added a field goal just before halftime.





Mason Crosby helped cut the 49ers' lead with a successful 51-yard field goal in the third, to bring the score within one point 24-23.



San Francisco added another touchdown with just under seven minutes remaining in the third quarter, to bring the score to 49ers 27, Packers 23.



The 49ers extended their lead early in the fourth with a field goal, bringing the score to San Francisco 30, Packers 23 with just over 13 minutes left to play.

A touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to Davante Adams tied this ballgame at 30 with just about two minutes left in the game.
