The science behind absorbing polymers, how you can have some fun with them at home

MILWAUKEE -- It's Friday -- and time for some fun! Professor Maria with Mad Science joins Real Milwaukee with some experiments you and your kids can do with absorbing polymers.

Superabsorbent polymers can absorb and retain extremely large amounts of liquid relative to their own mass.

To do these experiments at home, you'll need:

  • A grown up
  • diaper
  • scissors
  • tweezers
  • plate
  • eye dropper (pipette)
  • water
