Police: 2 arrested after pursuit reached speeds of more than 100 miles-per-hour

MILWAUKEE -- Two young men were arrested after a pursuit that ended near 21st and Hopkins early Tuesday, Dec. 11.

Police said shortly before 3 a.m., officers spotted a silver Acura being driven recklessly near 7th and Center. A traffic stop was attempted, but police said the Acura fled, and a pursuit ensued, reaching speeds of more than 100 miles-per-hour.

The pursuit lasted for more than four miles, before the driver, a 17-year-old boy, took off on foot near 21st and Hopkins. He was taken into custody, along with an 18-year-old man who was a passenger.
