Police: Woman shot, killed near 12th and Finn; person of interest in custody

MILWAUKEE -- Officials with the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office were called out to the area near 12th and Finn in Milwaukee on Wednesday evening, Dec. 26 for a homicide.

According to police, around 5:30 p.m., officers were called out to the scene for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 32-year-old woman suffering from a serious gunshot wound.



Life-saving efforts were performed by the Milwaukee Fire Department, however, the victim died at the scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed robbery may have been the motive behind the shooting.

A person of interest was detained.
