Driver in critical condition after crash on I-94/41, south of Highway 50, near Pleasant Prairie
MILWAUKEE -- A driver was trapped in his vehicle after a crash on I-94/41 northbound, south of State Highway 50 near Pleasant Prairie on a snowy Wednesday morning, Jan. 23.
It happened around 9:30 a.m.
Officials with the Wisconsin State Patrol said the driver of a minivan on 94/I-41 lost control of his vehicle, which began fishtailing. That's when the minivan was struck by another vehicle, which was also headed north on I-94/41. The vehicle struck the van's driver's side.
The van's driver was found by a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper slumped over the steering wheel -- trapped in his vehicle.
The trooper broke a window to gain access to the driver, who was said to be in critical condition.
The scene was cleared shortly after 11 a.m.
