Medical examiner IDs 55-year-old man who died after shoveling, found frozen in garage

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office on Tuesday, Jan. 29 confirmed a man collapsed after shoveling snow and died. The medical examiner identified him as Charley Lampley, 55.

It happened near North 64th Street and West Hope Avenue.

The medical examiner said Lampley was found frozen in a detached garage, near a snow shovel. It appeared he had been outside overnight. The garage door was open. The medical examiner noted Lampley was fully clothed and dressed for the weather.

The preliminary manner of death was ruled "natural." They noted nothing in this case appeared suspicious.
