Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks 'Make-A-Wish' come true for 12-year-old fan

MILWAUKEE -- A dream come true! Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks helped make a wish come true for a western Wisconsin boy on Saturday, Feb. 23. Twelve-year-old Easton King didn't just get to just hang out with the Bucks team, he signed an honorary contract with them.

Inspiration can come in many forms. For King, it's on the court with his favorite player and team.

"I think it's pretty cool and I always wanted to meet Giannis and the Bucks," King said.

The 12-year-old Boscobel boy had a day unlike any other, starting with a shootaround with the team.

"We're going to make this day special. He's one of the best teammates I've ever had," said Antetokounmpo.

King is living with a degenerative muscular condition, but the Milwaukee Bucks and Make-A-Wish Wisconsin helped to take his mind off of it.

"I'm happy and the team is happy that we're able to make a dream come true for him," Antetokounmpo said.

From a morning practice to a pregame warmup, King was right there.

"It's really different for me," King said.

With King on the sidelines at Fiserv Forum, he's helping his idol.

Antetokounmpo: "I shoot the ball higher. Should I get more follow through?"

King: "You should do that windmill."

On this day, King is more than just a fan, he's part of the team and was signed to an honorary contract.

It's an experience that can be summed up by the expression on his face as he watched the Bucks take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

On a day the 12-year-old was surrounded by his heroes, he became theirs.

"At the end of the day, it's all about helping one another," Antetokounmpo said.

King's parents tell FOX6 News, he waited a year for this wish to be granted. Each day was filled with more excitement building. Saturday exceeded expectations.
