'It's been a long winter:' Cleanup underway after another round of snow hits SE Wisconsin

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- Cleanup is underway after another round of snow hit southeast Wisconsin Tuesday night, Feb. 26 into Wednesday morning, Feb. 27. Sheboygan County had some of the highest snow totals.

The snow was steady throughout the morning in Oostburg -- but while the snow made for slow driving it didn't slow down business at Judi's.

"Rain or shine, I come here," said Sam Brill, customer.

The counter is always full of regulars -- always willing to make the trip.

"Roads were covered with snow and slippery, but just go slow," said Ken Kelley.

Jenny Lorenz

Waitress Jenny Lorenz knows almost everyone by name. She knows she'll be busy no matter the weather.

"It can be terrible out, and they're out here. I even have some who will be outside shoveling," said Jenny Lorenz, waitress.

She also knows what people want in the cold -- a hot skillet.

Mike Navis

It's what Mike Navis needed after a long morning of plowing snow.

"Started at 2 o'clock this morning plowing snow, and started to re-plow everything we plowed the first time, because it won't stop," said Mike Navis, plow driver.

And this winter hasn't been an easy one.

"I can only think of one winter that was worse," said Navis.

While customers are willing to trek through the snow, they're ready for this winter to end.

"I'm ready to be done fighting the ice, fighting the snow," said Navis.

"It's been a long winter," said Ken Kelley.

The Sheboygan County Department of Public Works says it had crews out all night. The plow drivers are also ready for spring.
