Man dead after double shooting near 25th and Medford; 1 in custody

MILWAUKEE -- Investigators are working to figure out what sparked gunfire to erupt inside a home near 25th and Medford overnight Thursday, Feb. 28. The shooting left one man dead and another injured.

Officials say the two men, both 25, were shot around 2:45 a.m. One man died at the scene, the other was hurt but is expected to be OK.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Quadir Black.

Following the shooting, investigators were observed taking photographs outside the home, trying to gather every shed of evidence.

Milwaukee police say they have a man in custody in connection to the homicide. The investigation is ongoing.
