Passenger dies days after vehicle, pickup truck collided in Dodge County

DODGE COUNTY -- A 23-year-old man has died following a crash involving a car and a pickup truck in Dodge County Thursday morning, Feb. 28. The victim has been identified as Nathan Pattee from Oakfield.

The crash happened around 9:45 a.m. on State Highway 60 near Jefferson Road in the Township of Rubicon.

Sheriff's officials said an initial investigation revealed a Honda Civic was traveling east on State Highway 60 when it began to spin in a counter-clockwise direction, traveling over the center line and into the westbound lane of traffic, where it collided with a pickup truck headed west.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Honda suffered serious injuries and was transported to Aurora Hospital in Summit. The passenger in the Honda, later identified as Pattee, suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown from the scene by MedFlight to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. He died on March 2.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
