Sheriff: Woman, 37, struck by train and killed in Washington County

SLINGER -- A woman was killed when she was struck by a train in Washington County Friday night, March 8.

Sheriff's officials identified the victim as Jodi Schonasky, 37, of Slinger.

The crash involved a Canadian National train. It happened just before 9:30 p.m.

Schonasky was found dead near the tracks.

Train traffic was held on the tracks for approximately six hours following the incident.

The investigation was ongoing.
