17-year-old victim identified after police shared abduction photos; suspect in custody for battery

MILWAUKEE -- A 17-year-old girl was located after police released images seeking the victim and suspect wanted in connection with an abduction Friday, March 15 near 51st and Hampton.

In an update Sunday, police said the 17-year-old girl was the victim of battery.

The suspect, her 17-year-old boyfriend, was taken into custody. Police said charges were being referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.

Photos shared by police showed a woman being forced into a late 1990s Pontiac Grand Prix Friday between 5:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.

Police thanked the public for helping to identify the victim.
