Police: Driver arrested for OWI after colliding with semi near 6th and Layton

MILWAUKEE -- One person was arrested for OWI Tuesday night, March 19 following a crash in Milwaukee. It happened near 6th and Layton around 11:30 p.m.

According to police, an officer spotted a vehicle speeding on 27th Street near Layton. The officer activated their lights and sirens, but the vehicle continued.

Police say the driver ran a red light at 6th and Layton -- and collided with a semi.

The driver was arrested for OWI.

The semi driver was transported to the hospital after complaining of shoulder pain -- and has been released.
