Man wanted for Georgia homicide arrested in Wisconsin

BELOIT — The U.S. Marshals Service says a man wanted for murder and arson in Georgia has been arrested in Wisconsin.

Twenty-year-old Antoine Sims was taken into custody in Beloit Sunday after a short foot chase by law enforcement officers. Federal authorities say Sims fatally shot a woman during a drug deal last October in Johns Creek, Georgia, then burned her body and a vehicle at another location.

The State Journal says Sims is charged with homicide, arson and concealing the death of another.

The U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force and local police developed information that Sims was in Beloit.
