MILWAUKEE -- Bucks fever is burning up all over the City of Milwaukee as a number of Bucks-related activities took place on Friday, April 12, to hype up fans ahead of Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs on Sunday, April 14.
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, Milwaukee Bucks and Fiserv Forum President Peter Feigin, and members of the Department of Natural Resources gathered Friday morning, April 12 at the McKinley Bridge to watch as the Milwaukee River is dyed green in celebration of the start of the NBA Playoffs.
"It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I feel like they've never died the river green," said a Bucks fan.
The team has taken over the city as fans everywhere are standing in green behind the team.

"He's got his sweatshirt on and underneath his sweatshirt he's got his Giannis jersey, he's got his Bucks' hat, he's all ready for the playoffs," said a Bucks fan.
Friday morning, the river was dyed green for the first time ever.

"This is awesome. I've never seen anything like this ever," said Adam Wolfram, Menomonee Falls.
Above the river, skywalks are being branded in "Fear the Deer" as the city bleeds green.
Milwaukee's streetcar, The Hop, is also decked out with Fear the Deer wrapped around the outside, a floor that looks like Fiserv Forum and footprints of some of the players.
"What the streetcar is doing is adding energy and vitality to the City of Milwaukee," said Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.
The streetcar made its debut Friday with the Bucks mascot, Bango, Mayor Barrett and several fans hoping the energy Friday, will be just as powerful on the court come tip-off.
"We're just trying to bring some excitement and have everyone Bucksify Milwaukee," said Milwaukee Bucks Vice President Alex Lasry.
As the Bucks head into the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, it's no doubt the city can't wait to see what the series will bring.
"There's so much energy, so much excitement about the Bucks. We're pulling for them," said Mayor Barrett.
Topping it off, the Bucks will have all-fan giveaways and watch parties on the plaza in front of Fiserv Forum.
