2 in custody after pursuit involving Milwaukee police ends in rollover crash

MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee police pursuit ended in a rollover crash near 45th and Center on Saturday, May 11.

According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the chase began near Appleton and Lancaster Streets.

Police deployed stop sticks during the pursuit, and the fleeing vehicle immediately rear-ended a taxi. The car then struck a pole, causing the vehicle to roll over. The taxi struck two occupied vehicles as a result of the accident.

The driver and passenger of the fleeing vehicle were transported to a nearby hospital, with bleeding to the face and arms following the rollover crash. They were each taken into custody.

No one was injured in the struck vehicles.
