70-year-old man struck by vehicle while walking near 11th and Atkinson, driver arrested

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating an accident involving a pedestrian that happened Monday night, Aug. 19. It happened around 8:15 p.m. near 11th and Atkinson.

According to police, a 70-year-old man was struck while walking in the crosswalk. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver was arrested on scene for OWI.

The investigation is ongoing.
