MILWAUKEE -- A reported road rage shooting Tuesday night, Aug. 27 near 19th and Oklahoma, sent one man to the hospital and put another in jail. Neighbors say they rushed outside their homes at the sound of gunfire to see cars tearing off down the road.

"I didn't think a whole lot of it, until about 8:30 or so, the detectives showed up at the door and asked if I had my cameras working," said Kevin Finn.

Kevin Finn and his 11-year-old bloodhound, "Big Mich," were at home relaxing around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

"Just heard a little bang," said Finn. "Didn't know if it was a backfire or anything else. Came inside and saw a text from my neighbor who said that there was broken glass and shots fired."

Those shots were fired into a car that police say was involved in a road rage incident near 19th and Oklahoma. A 34-year-old man was struck by gunfire.

One of Finn's surveillance cameras shows a hospital security vehicle drive by. Less than a minute later, a dark blue van is seen turning onto Euclid from 19th Street. It was being followed by a blue Chevy Cobalt.

The Cobalt later ended up at the Ascension St. Francis Hospital's emergency room entrance.

Police say the man shot was treated for non-life threatening injuries and a suspect was taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
