MILWAUKEE -- A beloved Milwaukee police officer was remembered for his 18 years of service to the community. A funeral for Officer Mark Lentz was held on Thursday, Sept. 26 at Elmbrook Church.

Officer Mark Lentz spent 14 years on a motorcycle as a police officer. Lentz was injured on duty in 2017 while trying to make a traffic stop on a speeding driver. Milwaukee police believe the driver intentionally hit the officer. On Wednesday, Sept. 18, he passed away from health issues.
