'Raise funds that help food pantries:' The 8th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser is coming up



CEDARBURG -- The 8th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser is coming up. Kimberly Bikulcius, the Family Sharing of Ozaukee County Community Outreach Manager, joins FOX6 WakeUp with how you can help the hungry. The 8th annual Empty Bowls event will take place on Thursday, Nov. 7 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Ozaukee County Pavilion.

Enjoy lunch with coworkers, friends or family and help fill the shelves at Family Sharing. We will serve a variety of hearty, hot soups donated by local restaurants, as well as bread, dessert and coffee. All attendees can join in the raffle drawings for fantastic items. Your donation will benefit our neighbors in need here in Ozaukee County.

Registration is $20 per person through 10/24, $25 after 10/24 and at the door (if tickets are still available).


Family Sharing operates a food pantry on Overland Court in Grafton, as well as an “upscale resale” shop that is open to the public. The shop sells clothing and household goods and uses the proceeds to support the pantry. In 2018 alone:


    The Empty Bowls event draws an average of 250 attendees each year. Family Sharing invites anyone interested in its mission to attend the fundraiser.

The early bird fee is $20/person; after October 30 and on the day of the event, tickets will be $25 a person (if available).
