Police: 13-year-old boy struck by vehicle near 24th and North; driver remained on scene

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police said a child was struck by a vehicle near 24th Street and North Avenue on Monday afternoon, Nov. 18.

It happened just before 2 p.m. and involved a 13-year-old boy. Police said it appeared the boy ran out into the street and was struck.

According to police, the striking driver remained on scene. That person was not driving recklessly, police said, and had a valid driver's license.

The boy was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening.

An investigation was ongoing.
