Driver dies after vehicle slams into tree near 47th and Congress in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE --Milwaukee Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened early Friday morning, Jan. 17. It happened around 1:45 a.m. near 47th and Congress.

Police say a 34-year-old woman, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was traveling eastbound on Congress when struck a tree after failing a negotiate a slight curve in the roadway.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
