Police: 1 man fatally shot, 1 hurt near 40th and Vliet, 'possibly the result of a drug dispute'

MILWAUKEE -- A 43-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of a shooting near 40th Street and Vliet Street Saturday evening, Jan. 18. Police said it was possibly the result of a drug dispute.

It happened shortly before 6 p.m.

Police said a 40-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening.

An investigation was ongoing -- with police seeking the shooter(s).
