Officials: 1 fatally shot near 29th & Bobolink, suspect in custody

MILWAUKEE -- A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was fatally shot on the city's north side Thursday, Feb. 20, officials say.

According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the shooting took place near 29th and Bobolink at around 5:35 p.m. Officers found the man suffering from a serious gunshot wound at the scene, but, despite lifesaving efforts by officers and paramedics, he died of his injuries.

Police say a suspect surrendered and was taken into custody. The weapon used was recovered by police.
