85-year-old Pewaukee woman dies from complications of COVID-19

PEWAUKEE --  The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office say a 85-year-old woman from Pewaukee died Tuesday morning, March 31 at a local hospital from complications of COVID-19. She had been hospitalized for several days.

“I want to give my sincere condolences to the loved ones of the individual who passed away today,” said Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow in a news release announcing the county's first COVID-19 death. “I want the family and residents to know that throughout this pandemic Waukesha County Public Health and Waukesha County government have done everything possible to mitigate the spread of this virus in the community, and we will continue to do so. Every individual can help with that goal by following the Safer at Home order, social distancing, and practicing good hygiene.”

There have been a total of 25 deaths in Wisconsin.



The total positive cases of coronavirus in Wisconsin rose to 1,391 on Tuesday, March 31. Officials in Waukesha County reported 105 confirmed cases as of Tuesday.
