Michael Mattioli

The off-duty officer involved in this incident is Michael Mattioli -- a 13-year veteran of the Milwaukee Police Department. He has been placed on full suspension, according to police.

Neighbors say there was some type of get-together at Mattioli's home before police were called to the scene.

"I think that a police officer, somebody that we should be respecting, that's having a party in his own home, is in violation of the governor's order. I think that upsets me. I keep my children in the house. We very seldom go anywhere and it upsets me that police officers shouldn't be above the law and having parties and having social gatherings in their home," said Bridgette Schulz, who lives down the block from Mattioli.

This incident is also being investigated by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office and criminal charges will be presented in the upcoming days -- possibly as early as Tuesday.
