12,388 positive cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin, 453 deaths, 6.5K+ recovered

MILWAUKEE — The number of people in the state testing positive for COVID-19 grew to 12,388 on Saturday, May 16. There have been 453 deaths statewide. More than 134,000 people have tested negative.

The Milwaukee County coronavirus dashboard showed 4,936 positive cases and 233 deaths related to the coronavirus in the county as of Saturday afternoon. However, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 252 deaths in the county.

As of Friday, the DHS website noted there were 6,542 cases that were listed as recovered — or about 54% of the overall positive cases.
