17,853 test positive for COVID-19 in Wisconsin; 574 deaths, 10K+ recovered

MILWAUKEE — The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across Wisconsin reached 17,853 on Friday, May 29. There have been 574 deaths statewide. More than 233,000 people have tested negative for the virus.

The Milwaukee County COVID-19 dashboard showed 7,498 cases and 274 deaths from COVID-19 in the county as of Friday afternoon. However, the Wisconsin DHS reported 294 deaths in the county.

The latest update from the DHS shows the number of patients who have recovered from the coronavirus stands at 10,880 — approximately 61% of total cases.
