MADISON -- U.S. Senate candidate Eric Hovde delivered his nomination papers to the Government Accountability Board at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 7th.
Hovde was the first candidate in the race to turn in nomination papers. Hovde says he is focusing his campaign on the economy.
"The main focus is the economy and the fact we're heading through a financial collapse because of the amount of debt we're racking up. Talking about Wall Street and Washington, because crony capitalism is one of the problems that brought our economy to this point," Hovde said.
Hovde is taking on three other Republicans in the primary election August 14th -- Jeff Fitzgerald, Mark Neumann, and Tommy Thompson. Tammy Baldwin is the lone Democrat in the race.
