Hearing on reports of overmedication at Tomah VA Medical Center to be held in Tomah
MADISON (AP) — A congressional hearing into reports of overmedication at the Tomah VA Medical Center in Tomah will be held locally.
The chairman of the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, Rep. Jeff Miller, says a congressional hearing into reports of overmedication at the hospital will be in Tomah, but no date has been set.
The medical center is already under investigation by the VA's Office of the Inspector General and the Veterans Affairs Secretary of Health.
Also, Democratic lawyer Marc Elias says he will represent Sen. Tammy Baldwin in a case against Baldwin's former deputy state director. Marquette Baylor was fired last month amid allegations that Baldwin's office did not respond appropriately to reports of overmedication at the Tomah medical center.
Elias in a statement says Baylor was terminated for performance issues.
