Marquette fouls up Seton Hall in 77-66 win
NEWARK, N.J. -- Jamil Wilson scored a career-high 25 points and added 10 rebounds as Marquette rallied to beat host Seton Hall 77-66 Tuesday night at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Wilson scored 14 of the Golden Eagles first 16 points as coach Buzz Williams team raced out to a 12 point lead.
But 10 first half turnovers allowed the Pirates to claw their back. The Golden Eagles overcame a 6 point second half deficit and won their 2nd straight Big East game for the first time all season.
Marquette made 30 of 34 foul shots; Seton Hall hit just 8 of 14. The visitors outrebounded the host, 32-19, 12-3 on the offensive glass.
Davante Gardner added 16 points for MU (14-10, 6-5 Big East).
