'Diapers for Dads' supports single fathers
Milwaukee Diaper Mission and Wellpoint Care Network partnered on Friday to help fathers in and around Milwaukee get the resources they need for their kids.
MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Diaper Mission and Wellpoint Care Network partnered on Friday to host the second annual "Diapers for Dads" distribution event.

The event aims to help fathers in and around Milwaukee get the resources they need to care for their children. Organizers said these opportunities are as essential for single fathers as they are for single mothers.
"My goal is to change the narrative," said Wellpoint's Andrew Bonner IV. "Just because you are single doesn't necessarily mean you can't have struggles or have barriers they have to overcome as well, so breaking that stigma of ‘a single father is able to handle it.’ No, they need help just as single mothers need help."
Milwaukee 2024 Holiday Drive celebration, donations support Meta House
It's the season of giving, and Milwaukee is doing its part with its annual Holiday Drive.
The event was held at Wellpoint Care Network's facility near 88th and Capitol. There were two distribution windows for dads to attend.
Last year, organizers said, the event collected and distributed nearly 19,000 diapers for dads.
Wellpoint Care Network accepts diaper donations year round.
