Crash at Kenosha-Racine county line; Flight for Life responds

Flight for Life was called after a car-vs-semi crash at the Kenosha-Racine county line Monday morning, Oct. 22.

It happened just before 10 a.m. at County Highway KR and County Highway H – roughly two-and-a-half miles east of I-94. While the crash scene was on the Racine County side of the intersection, the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department took initial command.

Wisconsin DOT video of the intersection shows the car appear to run a red light as the eastbound semi proceed into the intersection, hitting the driver's side of the car.

The Mount Pleasant Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol and several fire departments also responded to the scene. The intersection remained partially blocked for hours as Wisconsin State Patrol investigated the crash.

KCSD said the status of the people injured is unknown at this time.
