Thompson, Baldwin to square off in third debate
MILWAUKEE -- Republican Tommy Thompson and Democrat Tammy Baldwinwill meet for their final debate Friday, October 26th in the race to fill Wisconsin’s open U.S. Senate seat. This is the third and final debate as election day (November 6th) approaches.
The two will square off at 8 p.m. at Marquette University in Eckstein Hall. The debate will be broadcast live statewide on public television.
The race for the U.S. Senate seat is expected to be a close one. The latest Marquette University Law School poll shows the gap between Wisconsin’s U.S. Senate candidates — Tommy Thompson and Tammy Baldwin appears to be shrinking. The latest results show Baldwin with 48% support to Thompson’s 44%. Two weeks ago, Baldwin led by 9%.
