West Allis shots fired; attempted entry into parked vehicles

The suspects attempted to enter parked cars. During the attempted entry into cars, the suspects were confronted by a West Allis resident.

Two people were taken into custody in West Allis on Friday, Sept. 27 after they fired gunshots at a resident after they were caught attempting to enter parked vehicles in the area. 

According to police, around 7 a.m. law enforcement received numerous 911 calls regarding shots fired in the area of 66th and Hayes. 

When police arrived at the scene, officers determined the gunfire occurred at 65th and Hayes and the two suspects ran from the scene. No one was hit by the gunfire.

The two suspects were taken into custody shortly after the shots were fired. The suspects were arrested in the surrounding neighborhood with the assistance of the Milwaukee Police Department.

A preliminary investigation indicates that earlier in the morning, the suspects were involved in a carjacking in Milwaukee and then drove to West Allis

Once in West Allis, the suspects attempted to enter parked cars. During the attempted entry into cars, the suspects were confronted by a West Allis resident.

As the suspects drove away, they fired gunshots at the resident before driving into some parked cars and running from the scene.

Several parked cars were struck by gunfire.
