Badgers fans looking to book trips to Pasadena for Rose Bowl

MILWAUKEE -- Montee Ball ran for 201 yards and three touchdowns, and Wisconsin rushed for the 539 yards to rout No. 14 Nebraska 70-31 in the Big Ten title game on Saturday night. Now, Wisconsin Badgers fans are looking to book trips to Pasadena to back Bucky in the Rose Bowl.

The Badgers (8-5, 4-4 Big Ten) are the first team to reach the Rose Bowl with five losses, and the first Big Ten team to make it in three straight years since Michigan in the late 1970s. They also tied Texas' record for most points in a conference championship game.

As Wisconsin punched their ticket to Pasadena, plenty of fans are buying theirs.

Inside East Town Travel in Sunday, December 2nd -- a business that's normally closed on weekends, the phones were ringing with Badgers fans looking to book a trip to the Rose Bowl.

Lynn Goezler was among two travel agents working Sunday, to accommodate suddenly energized Badgers' fans.

"We're really loving it. Our fan base continues to call us and make our reservations," Goezler said.

Goezler said as she watched Ball and the rest of the Badgers grasp the Big 10 championship Saturday, she knew Sunday would likely be a busy day.

The travel agency is offering game tickets, transfers, airfare and hotel in a complete package for those looking to back Bucky in Pasadena.

Prices are up this year, but Goezler says interest is high. A Bucky win Saturday night is expected to mean five times more business than if the Badgers lost and headed to a less coveted bowl game.

"I think everyone is going to stand behind the team, and they are going to go out there and support them," Goezler said.

East Town Travel says the package is only available via phone. Trips can be booked by calling: 414-276-3131.
