MADISON -- The Wisconsin Badgers missed 11 of 18 fouls shots and managed only 4 points in the final seven minutes, thirty six seconds of Tuesday night's 49-47 loss to Michigan State at the Kohl Center.
Ryan Evans 3-point basket with 16.7 seconds left drew the Badgers to within a point.
The most crucial miss from the line came with UW trailing, 49-47 and 3.5 seconds to go.
Guard George Marshall, who was fouled on a drive, missed the first of two free throws; he intentionally missed the second, but the ball didn't hit the rim and the Spartans took over.
Michigan State, ranked 11th and 13th in the national polls, improved to 6-1 in the Big Ten; Bo Ryan's Badgers fell to 4-2 with their 2nd straight loss and 4th in a row to Tom Izzo's team.
