SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The return of Josh Gasser sparked the Wisconsin Badgers to an 86-75 win over St. John's in the season-opener for both teams Friday night in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Gasser, who missed all of last year after tearing his ACL, had a wonderful game with 19 points and 8 rebounds. The Port Washington native was assisted by Sam Dekker of Sheboygan; the sophomore scored 16 points and collected 7 rebounds.
Duje Dukan, who had tallied all of 11 points in his first 2 seasons, gave coach Bo Ryan 13 in the victory over the Red Storm.
