Ice cold Badgers burned by Northwestern 65-56
MADISON -- The Badgers stopped a 3 game skid with a win at Purdue last Saturday-only to fall back into the loss column with a 65-56 loss to Northwestern Wednesday night.
The Wildcats won for the first time ever at the Kohl Center and for the first time in Madison since 1996.
Wisconsin connected on just 15 of 57 shots for a frigid 26 percent; they missed 19 of 24 three pointers.
Leading by one at the break, Bo Ryan's team went without a field goal for over 12 minutes in the 2nd half.
This was the Badgers 4th defeat in 5 games; they suffered back to back home losses for the first time since 1998.
Drew Crawford poured in a season-high 30 points for the lowest-scoring team in the Big Ten; Ben Brust led UW with 21.
