Marquette picks up 8th win of the year with 71-48 win over Samford

MILWAUKEE (WITI)-- The Marquette Golden Eagles are now 8-5 on the year with a huge 71-48 win over the Samford Bulldogs.

MU guard JaJuan Johnson lead the home team in scoring with 14 points off the bench. He also added 3 helpers and a block.

Davante Gardner was also solid off the bench with 10 points. Deonte Burton was a point behind Johnson with 13 points but also added 4 rebounds and 3 steals.

Marquette begins conference play Tuesday, New Years Eve against Creighton on the road.
