Paul Bunyan's Axe stays with Bucky
MINNEAPOLIS (WITI)-- The Wisconsin Badgers beat the Minnesota Golden Gophers 20-7 in Minneapolis on Saturday thus keeping Paul Bunyan's Axe for the 10th year in a row.
This is the second week in a row Bucky's defense hasn't allowed a touchdown. The only Minnesota score was a Pick Six in the 2nd quarter, thrown by Joel Stave and taken into the end zone by the Golden Gopher's Aaron Hill.
But the Badgers would get a head and stay there quickly. Minutes later James White ran for a 1 yard touchdown making it 10-7. White rushed for 125 yards, making this the 17th consecutive game he's had over 100 yards rushing.
Wisconsin Receiver Jared Abbrederis caught a 2 yard touchdown pass to Stave to chop Minnesota 20-7.
Wisconsin hosts Penn State next Saturday at 2:30 pm CT.
