Saz’s Hospitality Group to be exclusive caterer and operator for UWM's Jan Serr Studio

MILWAUKEE -- Saz's Hospitality Group announced a new partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts, making them the exclusive caterer and operator for a new private events and performance space coming to the city's east side.According to a news release, the new Jan Serr Studio will be located on the top floor of the UWM Kenilworth Square East Building above the original 1914 Ford Model T plan.

Foxconn, UWM team up to create 'international engineering co-op program'

MILWAUKEE -- Foxconn Technology Group, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Chung Yuan Christian University signed an agreement Thursday, June 14 to create an international co-op program in which UWM engineering students will study at the university in Taiwan and work at a Foxconn facility there before returning to UWM to complete their degrees.According to a news release from UWM officials, the co-op program will introduce engineering students to liquid crystal display fabrication technology and processes.

MADISON — A state appeals court says University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee officials legally redacted student names from more than 2,000 pages of records.Former UWM student Taylor Scott in 2013 requested communications by and to Vice Chancellor Michael Laliberte and student Pahoua Xiong containing Scott's name and parts of his email address.

Regents OK raising nonresident, graduate rates at 3 schools

MADISON — University of Wisconsin System leaders have approved raising nonresident and graduate tuition at three schools.The Board of Regents voted Friday to raise rates at UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stout as well as at UW-Milwaukee's business school this fall.Nonresident undergraduate tuition at UW-Eau Claire will increase $355.
