After pursuit, police recover 30+ car batteries taken from locked storage unit at Walmart store

BROWN DEER -- Alert police officers were able to quickly recover 30+ car batteries taken from a locked storage unit attached to the Brown Deer Walmart store.According to a press release from Brown Deer police, on Monday, October 30th, around 4:15 a.m., officers learned that a high-value item tracked on behalf of Walmart was moving when it should've been stationary.A responding officer observed a suspicious vehicle that appeared to be associated with the reported movement of the item, and an attempt was made to stop that vehicle -- which fled into Milwaukee.A pursuit ensued, and a PIT maneuver was used to stop the suspect vehicle.A passenger, a 50-year-old Milwaukee man, was arrested after a short foot pursuit.

63-year-old man arrested for allegedly smoking crack on MCTS bus

BROWN DEER -- Brown Deer police arrested a man for allegedly smoking crack on a Milwaukee County Transit System bus.It happened Monday, October 30th.According to police, the bus driver called police and reported a passenger was smoking crack.Police arrested a 63-year-old man who was in possession of a crack pipe.He was booked, cited and released and a report was filed. 

Man accused of carjacking 68-year-old woman in Pick 'n Save parking lot; leading police on pursuit

BROWN DEER -- An 18-year-old man was arrested, accused of carjacking a 68-year-old woman in the parking lot of the Pick 'n Save store on Green Bay Road in Brown Deer, and then leading police on a pursuit.It happened Tuesday, September 19th around 4:15 p.m.Police said the victim was approached by the suspect at her vehicle, and he forcefully took the keys from her, entered her vehicle and headed south on Green Bay.An officer in the area attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver didn't stop, and a pursuit was initiated.

Police: Man robs Brown Deer Sprint store wearing Taco Bell hat

BROWN DEER -- Brown Deer police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect who robbed the Sprint store near 55th and Brown Deer Road on Wednesday, August 2nd.The robbery occurred around 10:35 a.m.According to police, the suspect entered the store and threatened to harm employees if they did not give him Apple iPhone 7 and 7S devices.
