Racine firefighters respond to heavy smoke at manufacturing plant
RACINE -- Racine firefighters responded to reports of smoke at the Foster Manufacturing Corporation, 1652 Phillips Ave., just before 6:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24th.
Officials say an employee spotted the smoke while reporting for work. He tried to fight the fire himself using fire extinguishers, and firefighters took care of the hot spots when they arrived.
Fire officials say used paint filters and accumulated overspray product from spray paint products were the cause of the fire.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
