Drunk driver crashes into downtown War Memorial building

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police say a 25-year-old woman drove into the War Memorial building in downtown Milwaukee around 11:00 Saturday night, April 14th.

Police say the woman missed the curve on Mason Street and crashed through the plate glass windows of the War Memorial building. The car then kept going, down a staircase.

The woman suffered abrasions and was transported to the hospital. She was arrested for her third OWI.

Police say their investigation is ongoing.
