24-year-old man shot and killed near 48th and Wright
MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police say a 24-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday, April 29th near 48th and Wright, and the man’s mother was shot.
Friends and family say the man killed, Russell Setum, was a well-known Milwaukee tattoo artist. Family members say Setum’s mother saw the shooting and was hit as well – shot in the foot or leg.
Loved ones gathered at a memorial Monday, April 30th said they believe someone who knew Setum tried to rob him and took his vehicle.
“He was a great person. He meant a lot to a lot of people. He left his imprint on people’s lives with his tattoos,” Setum’s friend, Jonathan Adams said.
Police have no suspect(s) in custody at this time, and say their investigation is ongoing. They are not confirming there was a car jacking at this time.
