GREEN BAY — The Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour began Tuesday morning, May 15th, for a five-day journey across Wisconsin. On Thursday, May 17th several players stopped in Kenosha to visit the Boys and Girls Club.

Tickets are on sale at Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha, located at 1330 52nd St.

The Tailgate Tour includes select team members that will travel around Wisconsin to visit with fans and thank them in person for their support from May 15-19.

The tour made stops in La Crosse (May 15), Madison (May 16), and will make stops in Kenosha (May 17), Cedarburg/Grafton (May 18) and Sturgeon Bay (May 19), with evening tailgate parties held in each city to support a local non-profit organization.

Tour celebrities will include Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy, players Mason Crosby and Jordy Nelson, and Packers Hall of Famers William Henderson, Larry McCarren and Marco Rivera.

The tour will take place aboard a customized motor coach emblazoned with the logo “Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour” and the phrase “Touching Down in Your Community.” In addition to the designated locations, tour celebrities will make surprise stops as the schedule allows. The evening tailgate parties will welcome the players and alumni arriving at each location at 6 p.m., and will run until 8:30 p.m.

A local non-profit organization will host each party which will feature food, giveaways, question-and-answer sessions and autographs. Tailgate party tickets will cost $30.

General admission tickets also will be available for $5, which includes access to the Q-and-A sessions as well as tailgate party activities. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. Due to space limitations, no general admission tickets will be available in Kenosha.

100% of the Tailgate Tour proceeds will benefit the hosting organizations.

A surprise stop was made Thursday, May 17th at Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, where players spoke to an all-school assembly.

Packers' Safety Charlie Peprah says seeing a few smiles makes it all worth it. "Their amazing spirit is amazing, so it's really worth it," Peprah said.

The Packers also visited children at Children's Hospital, which Packers' kicker Mason Crosby said was "moving."

"So moving and just so tough, just going in and seeing those kids and their families. Being able to go in and try to bring some joy, make `em smile and just it`s inspiring to me. These kids are so tough. They never complain , and they`re working to get better.  That was special to be able to go in there and spend some time with some children and their families," Crosby said.
