Driver of semi dies after rollover crash on I-94 near Dousman

JEFFERSON CO. –The driver of a semi tractor trailer died after his big rig rolled over on I-94 near Dousman Friday morning, May 25th.

Officials have identified the man as 68-year-old Gordon Oelke of Fond du Lac.

The crash happened near I-94 and WIllow Glen Rd. Wisconsin State Patrol officers tell FOX6 News, the semi, pulling a large, plastic tank filled with liquid fertilizer was was headed eastbound before it crashed. Officials say the front, left tire blew out on the semi, sending the vehicle into the westbound lanes.

Westbound I-94 was shut down at Highway 67. All traffic was redirected southbound on Highway 67 to Highway 18 and then to Highway 26.

Officials say Oelke was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
