30 students receive Ronald McDonald House scholarships
MILWAUKEE -- 30 high school seniors were honored Tuesday, May 29th at Milwaukee's City Hall.
The students were each winners of a Ronald McDonald House Charities scholarship.
The program assists students of all backgrounds.
At Tuesday's ceremony, students got to hear from Green Bay Packer and Marquette University Directory of Development George Koonce.
"My message is going to basically touch on purpose, passion and perseverance -- asking the students to look deep inside to find their purpose and find that passion and persevere through whatever storms may come their way throughout their careers," Koonce said.
Besides the $2,000 scholarship, each student was given a limo ride to and from their school to Tuesday's event and lunch at the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Milwaukee.
