Doctors use Second Life to answer medical questions

WAUWATOSA -- Doctors at the Medical College of Wisconsin are venturing into the digital world to help patients. They're using the virtual world of Second Life, a popular digital world inhabited by millions. This new direction in medicine lets anyone with an internet connect, and a computer get a little medical help.

The experimental practice is helping people who only come to the doctor's office with one or two questions, with no physical exam needed. The virtual world Second Life lets the patient and doctor interact for less than it would cost to visit your local doctor's office.
